Prerequisites for certification to The Paraplanner Standard

Certification to The Paraplanner Standard™ is not available to just anyone. Before distinguishing yourself from the competition, we need to make sure that you meet all the minimum requirements to qualify.

 

Trainee International Professional Paraplanner™

A certification status of Trainee International Professional Paraplanner™ (TIPP) can only be claimed if at the time of the approval assessment, the applicant is undergoing a recognised apprenticeship or structured training and development programme.

 

Certified International Professional Paraplanner™

A certification status of Certified International Professional Paraplanner™ (CIPP) can only be achieved if at the time of the certification assessment, the applicant is qualified to level 4 (of the appropriate qualifications framework) or equivalent, with a minimum of two years’ practical experience in the role of paraplanner as defined in this standard at this level, and be able to demonstrate a broad general knowledge and application of skills across the full range of financial services.

 

Advanced Certified International Professional Paraplanner™

A certification status of Advanced Certified International Professional Paraplanner™ (ACIPP) can only be achieved if at the time of the certification assessment, the applicant is qualified to level 6 (of the appropriate qualifications framework) or equivalent, with a minimum of three years’ practical experience in the role as defined in this standard at this level, able to demonstrate both a broad general knowledge and the application of skills across the full range of financial services, but also able to demonstrate an advanced level of knowledge in one or more areas of specialism.
