Six months into the programme, we are being constantly challenged to make the changes that will turn us from a successful business to a “WOWW!” business. We can see a structure that will mean we can drive the business forward, with a clear vision of what needs to happen and when.

I have found the discipline of following the requirements of BS 8577 and ISO 22222 to be extremely beneficial to the business and after 6 years of membership it has only got better and better. I have recommended (certification) to many other advisers but I have emphasised that it is not a certificate to be obtained and ‘stuck on the wall.’ It is a whole philosophy and a way of working on a day-to-day basis which, if taken fully on board, will only benefit the adviser, the company, and the client.

I don’t believe there is currently enough for paraplanners to aspire to and work towards or a benchmark in place which encourages them to continuously improve. A lot of the exams available are geared towards financial advice. For those who want to be paraplanners not advisers, the Standard is one of the only things out there that celebrates and promotes paraplanning

This course is so important. I work with many women who have experienced, or are experiencing, financial abuse and I wanted to be sure that I was absolutely doing all I could for them.
